Claire in the team was amazing
Claire in the team was amazing, after swabbing my mouth the sample was lost in the post, but in not time the team fixed my issue and a new sample was sent back so I can find my Viking ancestors.
Great service and nice people, all anyone could ask for.

The CSR Claire helped me each step of the way to resolve the challenges that I had with my account. The responses were quick too.
Although the test didn't work
Although the test didn't work, due to my possibly doing it wrong, they offered another test or a refund.I chose the latter and my contact with Claire was friendly, quick and she dealt speedily with the refund. My friend has also done a test with Living DNA, correctly unlike myself, and was delighted with the results.

I took a test with Living DNA and…
I took a test with Living DNA and received my results. I also had my mother tested and received her results, however neither of these have not been updated for 3 years. Also in the family matching section our percentage ratings are always mixed up. Ie my profile shows my mum’s percentages and vice versa. This is not very professional. I have given up with this site. The only good side to it is the Archaic and Viking ancestry which was very illuminating.

My experience with Living DNA has been…
My experience with Living DNA has been somewhat an old fashioned experience, in as much that when I needed customer support it was there unconditionally. I have been well informed and treated with respect all the way through my journey back in time. I’d like to say thanks to the whole team.

Not naturally intuitive about…
I’m not naturally intuitive about drilling down within I T in order to obtain information following a recent addition purchase of Archaic screening. Following a misunderstanding of results availability I was required to contact Living DNA’s online support team, prompt, clear, concise instruction was received enabling me to go about my business and analyse my data.
Results inaccurate
Customer service was very nice, one kit got lost in the mail and they sent another one right away.
Sadly something must have gone wrong, the old kit suddenly turned up again after nearly two months, before I could send the new one, and the results are wrong on first glance.
According to them, I got only roughly 33% of ancestral DNA from my mother, who did the test together with me; it should have been obvious that there’s something wrong with the results when there’s such a large discrepancy between parent and child, it simply goes against science.
Neither does it sufficiently overlap with what we know of our family’s history, so I have my doubts that the % I apparently got from my father are correct.
Now we are sceptical about her results and the well-being estimate we paid for as well, our trust has been greatly shaken.
This is very disappointing considering how much money we spent on our tests.
I think the results are inaccurate
I think the results are inaccurate. I have about a quarter Danish dna on my paternal side which other sites accurately picked up on, also this is verified through genealogy and surnames within my family and testing of other Family members, but this company said all of my dna is from the British isles but then said that I am 90% related to Norwegian vikings (paid extra for this result). So the results don't make sense plus the site is not user friendly.
Customer service is amazing
Before deciding whether this service was what I needed, I have asked some questions about how and what type of measurement data can be uploaded and used, in addition to data produced by Living DNA themselves. Answers were quick, to the point, and included fairly both those aspects that were available and those that were not provided by the company.
Then I had further questions, both scientific and logistic. Answers were always very quick, precise, and with a hearty kind attitude. It was a real pleasure corresponding with Clare at Living DNA's customer support, she was extremely helpful, prompt and kind. Also, one of the samplings failed, and that kit got replaced free of charge. I expect that results will be just as amazing as the service leading up to them.

Vague results with no real instructions
I ordered a kit which I sent back
After what seemed an age I was sent some matches which were very vague with no real instructions on what to / how to co tact these matches (most of which were very distant cousins of cousins)
As for viking ancestry and the like there's lots of information but no substance
Still they have my £70 which I suppose is a result from their end
Really nice team at Living DNA
Really nice team at Living DNA. I have had a few things I needed help with and they responded to my requests amazingly quickly and gave me the help I needed. Very approachable and responsive and well informed.

Unique genetic product from Living DNA!
I purchased the Archaic Upgrade, which as far as I know is a unique product, certainly among DNA testing companies which I'm familiar with, and for a really nice price at $20 US. The results were available quickly and are rather astounding, paired with the wealth of associated information, right down to which SNPs are involved. I'm looking forward to new products and innovations from this company.
Grateful.
When I went online to order my kit, as I was pressing the button to send my order, I noticed that I had made a typo on my email address. I sent a text message to your company right away to advise someone of my mistake. This happened on the Black Friday weekend so I wasn't sure anyone would respond or correct my mistake. Much to my surprise and relief, the next day I received an email from someone who did and was able to correct the situation. Sorry to say I have forgotten
her name. However I was grateful & impressed. Thank you.
